David Bowie was a cultural icon for countless reasons, including fashion.
But while his jumpsuits and hairstyles might be the first thing you think of when Bowie’s name pops into your head, some people also associate him with a powerful Christmas look.
In 1982, Bowie introduced The Snowman animated movie when it was first shown in the USA.
He did so from his attic, where he wore a stunning (and slightly garish?) snowman scarf which has become legendary.
Fans have spent years looking for a similar garment to don each festive season – and now notjust clothing have released an official replica.
The legendary scarf has just been released by notjust clothing after Bowie’s son, David, rediscovered the original.
The scarf – which can be purchased exclusively from notjust clothing here – is part of a larger collection of The Snowman, which is out right now.
Included in this collection is a cozy Christmas jumper and a large blanket, both of which feature the titular hero’s face.
This jumper comes in both kids’ sizes (£29.99) and adult sizes (£39.99), and are available right now.
As if this wasn’t good enough, 50 percent of the proceeds from each sale (£2.50 per jumper, £3.00 per blanket, and £1.00 per scarf) is being donated to St Barnabas Hospices.
Mike Harding, notjust clothing’s founder, said: “We’re back with an official range celebrating The Snowman, the country’s most adored Christmas animation. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without him and we couldn’t be prouder to team up with The Snowman team to immortalise the late Raymond Briggs’ iconic Christmas character who warms the nation’s hearts every festive season, in a collection of premium and carefully crafted knitwear that gives back to charity with every sale.”
