Following the blockbuster critical acclaim and $1.4 billion box office of Top Gun: Maverick, a third film\u2019s announcement was only a matter of time.<\/p>\n
Top Gun 3 has been in the works since the start of the year with plans to reunite Tom Cruise with his co-stars Miles Teller and Glen Powell.<\/p>\n
Top Gun: Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is working on a script and director Joe Kosinski is expected to direct or produce.<\/p>\n
And now franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer has spoken out on the upcoming blockbuster confirming that Cruise will continue to lead the storyline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Speaking with Screen Rant, Bruckheimer said: \u201cIt will be Tom Cruise. Tom is amazing. We spent time with him. We have a story. Joe Kosinski had a wonderful story idea for it, and he (Tom Cruise) said I really like that, so we\u2019re developing it.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut you never know when it\u2019s going to get made because Tom is so busy. He\u2019s doing Mission: Impossible right now, he\u2019s got a picture after it.
