Check out our verdict on the film here.<\/p>\n Paul Rudd teams back up with the classic heroes Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts in this action-packed sequel to 2021\u2019s Ghostbusters: Afterlife.<\/p>\n In the brand-new adventure, the Spengler family face a terrifying new threat that could put New York City on ice.<\/p>\n The franchise\u2019s beloved characters all make a return in this ghostly romp, but viewers will be wondering if there\u2019s any links to another sequel after the credits.<\/p>\n So, should fans stick around once the Ghostbusters have wrapped up their latest haunting?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Luckily for die-hard fans, there is a scene during the credits of Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire.<\/p>\n The latest film follows the trend following Afterlife teasing this sequel in 2021.<\/p>\n At the end of the fourth film in the franchise, a mid-credits and post-credits scene teases the \u2018Busters return to New York, and also confirms Peter Venkman (played by Murray) has married Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver).<\/p>\n Frozen Empire will also have a mid-credits scene, but there\u2019s no bonus right at the end of the credits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Turn away now if you don’t want spoilers. The mid-credits scene appears just after the main cast has been credited, so you won\u2019t have to stick around for too long.<\/p>\n In it, the miniature Stay-Puft marshmallow critters cause more chaos after being introduced in Afterlife and making another appearance in Ray Stantz\u2019s (Aykroyd) book and curiosity shop.<\/p>\n Following the defeat of an ancient ghost god named Garraka, New York is no longer frozen over.<\/p>\n A trucker is seen parking at a gas station and, when he turns his back to put some change in a machine, the mini-marshmallows hijack his vehicle and drive off.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As none of the main characters make an appearance, it\u2019s safe to assume this stinger isn\u2019t setting up a sequel.<\/p>\n However, there\u2019s a chance the Stay Pufts\u2019 mischief with the truck could be followed up in the next film in the background of the main plot.<\/p>\n A third film in the reboot hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet, although the door is always open if Frozen Empire performs well at the box office.<\/p>\n Director Gil Kenan has shared that multiple ideas for future instalments have been discussed, but fans will have to keep their fingers crossed for now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[ad_2]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [ad_1] Warning: the following article contains spoilers for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
