The first look at Jaafar Jackson in Michael, the official Michael Jackson movie biopic, has been released today.<\/p>\n
Fans took to social media to point out just how uncanny the King of Pop\u2019s nephew looks as his late uncle.<\/p>\n
One tweeted: \u201cHe looks like MJ. This is going to be the greatest biopic ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another wrote: \u201cThis is awesome! Jaafar looks amazing as his Uncle!\u201d<\/p>\n
And one fan simply wrote: \u201cIs it just me or\u2026 is that Michael Jackson?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The newly released still from Michael was simply captioned: \u201cThe journey has begun\u2026.\u201d The biopic, which started production on January 22, is directed by Antoine Fuqua, produced by Bohemian Rhapsody\u2019s Graham King and penned by John Logan.<\/p>\n
The film will also be produced by John Branca and John McClain, the co-executors of Jackson\u2019s estate, which could influence the depiction of the many child sexual abuse allegations brought against the King of Pop during his life and after his death. Jackson, who died aged 50 in 2009, always denied allegations of child sexual abuse and was found innocent of child molestation when put on trial in 2003.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The film\u2019s official synopsis reads: \u201cMichael will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale \u2014 from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances.
