Big Smoke Festival fans, things just got real.<\/p>\n
Skepta’s incredible annual festival, which is located in London’s Crystal Palace Park, is returning once again this year for 2024.<\/p>\n
This time around, however, it will be taking place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the aforementioned Crystal Palace Park.<\/p>\n
Although these details haven’t changed, the line-up has transformed entirely – for the better.<\/p>\n
Skepta will, of course, be taking his place on the Big Smoke Stage as the main headliner, but he’s being joined throughout the day with some massive names, as well.<\/p>\n
He’ll be playing alongside the likes of The Streets, JME, The Den and Flowdan, to name a few. On top of that, there are a number of DJ sets kicking off throughout the day on the M\u00e1s Tiempo Stage, including Loco Dice, Uncle Waffles, Syreeta and many, many more.<\/p>\n
However exciting this is, no one is more excited than Skepta himself. He said of the festival: “It\u2019s good to give other people a space and platform to perform, and for us to step aside and let new talent come through. For me Big Smoke Festival is about building something and more doors opening.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ve been thinking about what we can do to make a good festival and bring people together because right now everyone\u2019s just on their phones, so how do we make people get off their phones and be immersed? Having a rap stage and a dance stage is setting us apart from everyone else, that\u2019s our USP and I believe that this could be the London festival every summer.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
New headliner for the festival The Streets, also released a comment on what is to come from their slot at Big Smoke.<\/p>\n
Front man Mike Skinner said: “It\u2019s so good to be heading back down to South London for a festival with a line up like this. I\u2019m sure this is just the beginning for Big Smoke so we\u2019re all excited to be part of it at the outset.”<\/p>\n
