There’s nothing more frustrating than your food going off prematurely, and home gurus are sharing hacks to avoid this very issue.<\/p>\n

Food experts have explained the best place to keep potatoes to keep them fresh longer and a way to make sure cheese stays fresh and “won\u2019t mould for weeks”.<\/p>\n

A home hacks content creator took to TikTok to share her secret storage method to make onions, garlic, or shallots for months. The TikToker, who goes by the screen name Stephanie Booth Home, filmed herself sharing the easy steps.<\/p>\n

She began: \u201cDo you store your onions and your garlic in a basket like this? Or in a net bag like this and notice that they\u2019re going bad before you can even use all of them?<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I have a hack that will have them lasting longer. Here\u2019s what you need: a paper bag, a hole punch and some paper clips.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then instructed: \u201cFold the paper bag in half and using the hole punch, punch holes along each side of the bag, about 1in apart.<\/p>\n

Hilary said: \u201cThis is awesome! whats the best way to store the onions when you have half left?\u201d<\/p>\n

Stephanie replied: \u201cWrap them in plastic wrap and store in fridge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anu Singh enquired: \u201cIs there a hack for not tearing up when cutting onions?\u201d<\/p>\n
