{"id":20700,"date":"2024-01-13T05:09:32","date_gmt":"2024-01-12T23:39:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/farratanews.online\/brian-may-unveils-how-he-turned-freddie-mercury-classic-into-queen-live-track-music-entertainment\/"},"modified":"2024-01-13T05:09:32","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T23:39:32","slug":"brian-may-unveils-how-he-turned-freddie-mercury-classic-into-queen-live-track-music-entertainment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/farratanews.online\/brian-may-unveils-how-he-turned-freddie-mercury-classic-into-queen-live-track-music-entertainment\/","title":{"rendered":"Brian May unveils how he turned Freddie Mercury classic into Queen live track | Music | Entertainment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>This week\u2019s episode of Queen The Greatest Live looks back at Queen and Adam Lambert\u2019s 2014 live performance of I Was Born To Love You in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Freddie Mercury penned the track for his first solo album, 1985\u2019s Mr Bad Guy, before Queen turned it a song for the band on 1995\u2019s Made In Heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Following Freddie\u2019s death in 1991, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon set about recording instrumental parts to his posthumous lyrics, with the resulting track ending up on the record.<\/p>\n<p>Little did they know that years later that the song would further evolve into a live version, first with Paul Rodgers and then with Adam Lambert.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Reflecting on the evolution of I Was Born To Love You, Brian May said: \u201cI had an obsession with the song, and had the idea to make a new version, simulating how it would have sounded if we had been able to play it live with Freddie on stage. So the Queen version was put together as a \u2018virtual\u2019 live track, using Freddie\u2019s spectacular vocal as the central thread.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoger and John and I played our parts live, to a rearranged template I\u2019d put together &#8211; complete with some additions to the arrangement, taking some liberties with the vocal, and even borrowing some choice Freddie ad-libs, to add to the feeling that it was a live band recording.\u00a0Little did we know that years later we\u2019d have the opportunity with Adam to finally bring this arrangement to life on a real stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[ad_2]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1] This week\u2019s episode of Queen The Greatest Live looks back at Queen and Adam Lambert\u2019s 2014 live performance of I Was Born To Love You in Japan.
