All you have to do is to send an invite to your email address. You can reconcile previously unreconciled transactions for as long as you have a correct opening balance. If an account isn’t balancing correctly after a reconciliation, there could be an issue with the original opening balance on the account. Or sometimes the beginning balance or ending balance on the account for the period you\u2019re reviewing was entered wrong. We recommend reviewing your opening, beginning, and ending balances first to be sure you\u2019ve ruled out any possible errors.<\/p>\n

As you enter these historical transactions, please note that the Opening Balance Equity account may be affected. It is crucial to review and adjust this account to maintain balanced books. After completing the entry of the historical transactions, you must undo and redo the reconciliation of the affected periods. If you\u2019ve identified any errors on the statement, contact your financial institution at once so they can investigate. Performing reconciliation tasks, especially altering previously reconciled transactions, should be done with caution and ideally with some understanding of accounting principles.<\/p>\n
