With claimed sales of over 500 million units, Elvis Presley is the best-selling solo music artist in world history.<\/p>\n

In fact, only The Beatles as a band top him as the best-selling music artist of all time.<\/p>\n

The King holds a record 67 weeks at No 1 in the Billboard albums chart, which is more than any other solo artist.<\/p>\n

However, the late singer\u2019s success has now been matched by Taylor Swift, after her latest re-recording 1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version) took the top spot in this week\u2019s charts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This means that if Swift\u2019s 1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version) remains at No 1 next week, she will break Elvis\u2019 record as the solo artist with the most weeks at the top.<\/p>\n

Of course, she has a long way to go to beat overall record holders The Beatles.<\/p>\n
