Former Two And A Half Men star Charlie Sheen was assaulted by a neighbour in Los Angeles, according to police.<\/p>\n

A woman was arrested following the incident, which reportedly took place in Sheen’s<\/strong> home on Wednesday at about 1pm.<\/p>\n

“Upon contacting the parties involved, deputies identified Charlie Sheen as a victim of assault,” police confirmed.<\/p>\n

Electra Schrock was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury and residential burglary.<\/p>\n

According to showbiz news outlet TMZ, the woman forced her way into his house when he opened the door.<\/p>\n

TMZ reports she ripped his shirt and tried to strangle him – but Sheen was not taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

The US authorities said Ms Schrock will appear in court in Los Angeles on Friday.<\/p>\n

A representative for Sheen has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n

At the peak of his career, Sheen was reportedly the highest-paid actor on TV, earning around \u00a31.2m per episode of Two And A Half Men.<\/p>\n

But Sheen was axed from the sitcom after making derogatory comments about the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher.<\/p>\n

Two And A Half Men, which started in 2003 with Sheen playing hedonistic bachelor Charlie Harper, continued until 2015 with Kutcher playing a different lead character alongside Sheen’s former co-stars, Jon Cryer and Angus T Jones.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
