On her TikTok account, Glam Girl Gabi said that while the look may be good on camera, it “looks atrocious in real life”.<\/p>\n
Gabi explained: “The undereye area has so much movement and so many lines; you really do need to minimise the amount of product here while still getting a brightening effect.”<\/p>\n
In order to do so, Gabi recommends placing concealer in two key areas: the tear troughs and the outer corner of the eyes to give a lifting effect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The concealer should be blended in with the finger using a stippling motion. Then you need to set the concealer with a natural finish loose powder otherwise, the concealer will crease, however, there is a correct way to do this.<\/p>\n
Gabi said: “You’re going to take a little piece of toilet paper, separate it so it’s a very thin sheet of paper, and press under the eye.”<\/p>\n
This will pick up any excess concealer product that would be likely to cement into fine lines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The next step is to lay a fresh piece of thin toilet paper on the undereye area and tap on the loose powder on top.<\/p>\n
Gabi said the paper “acts as a sifter to finely distribute enough powder to set, but not too much powder to overdry the area”.<\/p>\n
Another top tip is to apply less product to the eyebrows, especially on the inside, near the nose. Gabi said: “A brow product that is very easy to use is Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Powder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
“It has a really nice diffuse pigment so it’s hard to overdo it… I shaded in using small, hair-like strokes [using] an angled brush in areas missing some hair or density.”<\/p>\n
Gabi likes to finish it off with a brow mascara to “keep the hairs in place for the whole day”. If you’re going to wear eyeshadow, Gabi is against putting colours directly onto the skin.<\/p>\n
