Attention Swifties – Taylor Swift has announced her Eras Tour will be released in cinemas as a concert film.
So far only plans for the US release have been revealed.
“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” the star wrote on her social media accounts.
“Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theatres in North America!
“Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk).”
The Eras Tour was attended by more than three million fans during the first leg of its US run.
Shows in the US sold out almost instantly when they went on sale, despite multiple dates in almost every corner of the country.
That’s despite chaos at Ticketmaster, with fans saying they were repeatedly kicked off the site, left waiting hours in queues, and in some cases, had their tickets cancelled.
AMC Theatres has ramped up its capacity for ticket sales in response.
“AMC has bolstered its ticket server capacity to handle traffic at more than five times the current record for the most ever tickets sold in an hour,” it said.

The Eras Tour started in the US in March, wrapping up at the start of August before the star headed to Central and South America, ending in Brazil in November.
Following a break, the star will pick up the shows in Japan in February 2024, moving to Australia and Singapore before the European leg gets under way in Paris in May 2024.
Swift’s UK gigs take place in June 2024, starting in Edinburgh and ending in London.
The fact the UK dates are yet to take place is likely why the film isn’t coming out in the UK at the same time as the US.
She will cross five continents and perform more than 130 concerts as part of the tour – her first big set of shows since 2018.
The “theatrical concert experience” will open at cinemas in the US on 13 October.
AMC Theatres has committed to making the film affordable, saying adult tickets will be priced at only $19.89 (£15.69) plus tax.
