A home hacks content creator took to TikTok to share her secret storage method to make onions, garlic, or shallots for months. The TikToker, who goes by the screen name Stephanie Booth Home, filmed herself sharing the easy steps.

She began: “Do you store your onions and your garlic in a basket like this? Or in a net bag like this and notice that they’re going bad before you can even use all of them?

“Well, I have a hack that will have them lasting longer. Here’s what you need: a paper bag, a hole punch and some paper clips.”

She then instructed: “Fold the paper bag in half and using the hole punch, punch holes along each side of the bag, about 1in apart.
