The Duchess was photographed walking to her car and appeared to be smiling with her phone in hand. It is unknown what Meghan was doing in Santa Barbara, but Harry has been seen leaving the Santa Barbara gym in the past.
Meghan’s outing comes following the publication of the book Endgame by Omid Scobie in late November which follows the Royal Family since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Endgame claims that Meghan and Kate, the Princess of Wales, have had “almost zero direct communication” for nearly four years apart from “a few short pleasantries between the pair since late 2019.”
The book also claims that Kate no longer has a close relationship with Harry and states: “For the Princess, there’s no going back, even in her relationship with Harry.”
There also further claims from Endgame that Meghan remains in contract with King Charles and sends the monarch photographs of her children.
Omid was previously known for the biography Finding Freedom which was published in 2020. It describes the lives of Harry and Meghan following their relationship, personal lives, and their decision to step down as senior working royals.
The Dutch version of Endgame has made headlines after the translation named two royals who allegedly discussed the skin colour of Meghan and Harry’s son Archie, which the majority of the British press has not named.
It relates to the allegations made by Meghan and Harry during their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, but the context of the alleged conversation is unclear.
In an interview with BBC Two Newsnight, Omid said he did not know how the Dutch translation included the names, but there would be a “full investigation” into the error. He said: “I wrote, the book I edited, didn’t have names in it”.
While speaking with the BBC, Omid also said he was “hurt” by the “conspiracy theories that this is a publicity stunt”.
He said: “All of this is frustrating because it feeds into something that couldn’t be further from the truth. And also, quite frankly, I’ve always felt the names weren’t needed to have this discussion.”
