Consumers will soon have the chance to get a free order of McDonald’s fries to munch once a week as part of a new deal unveiled by the fast-food chain.
The “Free Fries Friday” offer kicking off this Friday will make the fries available at no-charge to customers already spending $1 on items through the McDonald’s mobile app that take certain steps, according to the company. The size of the fries that they will get when they do so will be medium.

The deal will apply to those who choose to use contactless mobile ordering and payment through the app, with them also having “opted into Rewards,” McDonald’s said.
On its website, McDonald’s has the Friday-specific promotion running until the end of the year, with it being available only at participating locations.

Claiming the one-time “Free Fries Friday” offer each Friday will entail picking it in the “deals” tab and hitting “Add Deal to Mobile Order,” according to McDonald’s.
In late July, the company reported seeing $8 billion worth of digital systemwide sales in its top six markets as part of its second-quarter earnings.
In that quarter, McDonald’s generated $6.5 billion in total revenues, marking a 13.6% increase year-over-year from $5.72 billion. Its net income came in at $2.31 billion.
The fast-food chain has indicated its financial results for the third quarter will come out next week.
