Glastonbury Festival 2024 tickets are sold out, but headliners are yet to be announced.
Nevertheless, there have been some big rumours swirling around from Dua Lipa and Madonna to Coldplay.
And now Girls Aloud, who have been among them, are odds on at 1-2 to perform on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm next summer.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes LIVE said: “Girls Aloud have sent the world of pop into complete meltdown this week with news of a 2024 tour… a tour which coincidentally ends a day before Glastonbury. We wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest to see them bow out at Worthy Farm.”
Meanwhile, the band themselves have addressed these Glastonbury rumours and they sound hopeful.
Nadine Coyle told British Vogue: “We’ve spoken about this but the thing is, we’d have to take our stage and so the logistics would be hard. But we are touring at the same time so maybe we could get a jet in.”
Meanwhile, Cheryl told BBC Radio 2: “Can I just be blunt here? Glastonbury haven’t even asked us.”
Kimberly Walsh added: “It would be epic, and I don’t even know if it’s feasible, but they need to ask us.” It certainly is feasible.
Glastonbury 2024 is taking place between June 26 and June 30 and the final show of Girls Aloud’s newly announced tour will be in Liverpool on June 29. This means they could perform on any of the other three nights at Worthy Farm.
Girls Aloud’s reunion tour, their first without the late Sarah Harding who died of breast cancer in 2021, takes place between May and June.
Tickets go on pre-sale on November 29 at 9am with general sale to follow on December 1 at the same time here.
