Fender recently announced the arrival of its new guitar line, the Fender Vintera II, which pays homage to the brand’s guitars of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, with “cutting edge features and bold design”.

To celebrate this new line of guitars fully, Fender is putting on a one-off gig tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the iconic Marquee Club.

The London, Soho venue was previously closed down in 2008, but Fender is bringing it back to life with a jolt of punk goodness from Soft Play, Nova Twins, Lambrini Girls, and a DJ set from Primal Scream bassist Simone Marie.

The event is surely going to be endlessly exciting – and the best part is you can attend the night of entertainment completely for FREE.

Fans of Fender can click this link to sign up for a chance to win a pair of tickets and watch the three bands play to one of the capital’s most historic venues – but act fast. The entry window CLOSES at 9pm tonight.

Winners will be given two tickets to the show and a chance to demo a Vintera II guitar or bass.

Soft Play (formerly known as Slaves) are one of the most powerful bands from the past ten years, and are coming back in a big way – having recently played at a number of festivals over the summer, including Reading & Leeds.

Meanwhile, Nova Twins are one of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in the country. With endorsements from the likes of Sir Elton John, they are certainly going places, and may not be playing in such an intimate venue as the Marquee Club for some time.

Fender’s CMO, Evan Jones, said: “We are beyond excited to bring these leading artists together for a special one-night-only event, resurrecting the legendary Marquee Club to introduce the new Vintera II series.

“As the number of guitar players around the world continues to grow and players continue to embrace technology, musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels still find themselves drawn to the timelessness of the Fender brand – its iconic colours and classic body shapes have inspired countless generations of artists and the Vintera II stands as a modern-day testament to this.” –
