Elvis Presley never-before-seen footage project announced by Baz Luhrmann | Films | Entertainment

[ad_1]

It’s been over a year since Baz Luhrmann’s Oscar-nominated Elvis movie hit cinemas.

While fans may be waiting for news of his long-awaited 4 hour cut of the biopic, it turns out the filmmaker is working on something else related to the King.

The director posted a video on social media today of a Warner Bros box of Elvis Presley outtakes, followed by footage of the singer in Las Vegas.

Baz captioned the post: “A TCB headlines that I know so many of you have been wanting to hear…

“It’s true we’ve found reels and reels of never before seen footage of Elvis On Tour, and Thats The Way It Is stay tuned #tcb #tcbheadlines.”

Fans will be familiar with 1970’s Elvis: That’s the Way It Is, a concert documentary of The King’s return to live performance with his Las Vegas residency.

Meanwhile, 1972’s Elvis on Tour captured the star during his rehearsals and backstage moments at concerts around the US.

By the sounds of it, Baz could well be working on a new documentary featuring the unseen Elvis footage, much like Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back was made up of unused footage from the 1970 Let It Be film.
