Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s private photo collection will be going on display.
On Monday, Sir Elton’s 77th birthday, the V&A museum confirmed over 300 prints will be used in a special new exhibition, Fragile Beauty.
The collection will explore eight distinct themes of 20th and 21st Century life and pop culture.
Many of them have never been seen by the public before.

In a joint pose with the iconic singer on Instagram, the V&A said: “We’re delighted to share a first glimpse of the official poster for our major new exhibition, Fragile Beauty: Photographs from the Sir Elton John and David Furnish Collection.”
The post featured the official poster for the exhibit, an intriguing snap of a woman in a car with a large pink bag emerging from the window.
“Today, in celebration of Elton’s birthday, we’re excited to share that Fragile Beauty will showcase over 300 rare prints from over 140 era-defining photographers,” the caption continued.
“On loan from Elton and David’s personal collection.
“Spread across eight thematic sections of the 20th and 21st century, including fashion, reportage, celebrity, the male body, American photography, the Civil Rights movement and AIDS activism of the 1980s.
“With the majority of works being on display for the first time, Fragile Beauty’s unrivalled selection of the world’s leading photographers tells a personal and universal story of modern and contemporary photography.”
Fans were thrilled to learn that some rare insight into Elton and David’s interests will be available to the public soon.
They also sent touching birthday messages in the comments as the Rocketman legend celebrates another major milestone.
