Following the record-breaking Super Bowl teaser trailer, Marvel fans have been waiting patiently for more Deadpool and Wolverine.

CinemaCon has taken place in Las Vegas this week, where studios showcase their upcoming movies to a lucky few in attendance.

During Disney’s slot, the only MCU movie to hit the big screen this year debuted some exclusive footage.

According to Screen Rant, the main segment was an extension of what we’ve already seen in the teaser trailer.

Following the events of Deadpool 2, Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson is single and retired and being given a surprise birthday party by Peter.

Meta fourth-wall-breaking jokes about the X-Men Fox universe characters now being under Disney’s Marvel Studios are aplenty.

At one point, Wade is asked to do some cocaine and replies: “That’s the one thing [MCU boss Kevin] Feige said is off limits.”

But before he can blow out his candles the TVA show up to prune him for meddling with time in Deadpool 2.

Wade is recruited Mr Paradox to save the Sacred Timeline and join the MCU universe, at one point shouting: “Suck it Fox! I’m going to Disneyland.” And yes there was a new look at Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in action, as well as a mention of Avengers Secret Wars.

The outlet noted: “One new scene in the footage is Deadpool and Wolverine driving in a car together. Deadpool makes fun of Wolverine’s costume, calling out that he looks like the LA Rams.” Additionally, Comic Book recorded that an extra scene was screened before this with Deadpool and Wolverine walking through a tunnel.

Wade tells Logan: “So I heard Secret Wars is finally gonna introduce…” But a phone starts ringing and Wolverine pushes him out of the way to look at the camera. Jackman’s X-Men says: “Hey, bub! You’re in a movie theater, turn off you’re f***ing phone!”

Deadpool and Wolverine hits cinemas on July 25, 2024.
