The Nightmare Before Christmas has become one of the biggest cult Halloween/Christmas movies of all time.
The Disney tale of Jack Skellington, the King of Halloween Town, discovering Christmas and inadvertently ruining it is funny, poignant, and timeless.
Originally composed by Danny Elfman and written by goth icon Tim Burton, the picture is now being brought to London’s Wembley Arena this Christmas for two special dates. Elfman will be bringing the picture to the big screen in December while composing the film’s soundtrack in an extremely special live-to-film concert brought to life by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Speaking out about these two gigs – which are being held on Wednesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 12 – Elfman said: “It’s impossible to believe it has been thirty years since Tim Burton made our strange little musical. What a tremendous thrill it is to perform it live in concert again at London OVO Arena Wembley.”
Tickets for this special event are out this week, here’s the info you need.
