Bride ready to cancel wedding after vegan groom bans meat for guests

[ad_1]

Writing in the Daily Mail’s Dear Jane column, the woman said: “My wedding is coming up in a few months… but during the planning, my fiancé and I have become involved in such furious arguments, over the food of all things, that I’m not sure I actually want to go through with it.”

Difficulties arose when it emerged he was vegan – something that the burger-munching woman, who has a penchant for steak, was not aware of.

As discussion about the wedding continued, the husband-to-be outlined his unhappiness at meat being served during the wedding.

This sparked a huge row, the woman said.

She continued: “It’s been a bone of contention for months now – to the point where we’ve actually gotten into screaming matches in front of the caterer because he was mad that I’d even requested to sample a meat dish.”

The bride-to-be added that the majority of her guests were meat eaters and said she thought they would be “miserable” eating a vegan dinner.

Overall, the incident had left her with “cold feet”.

In response, Jane said that though there was nothing wrong with her fiance’s veganism – it did point out a huge flaw in his character.

She wrote: “This wedding is about both of you, and both of you have equal needs.

“Should he not have any willingness to compromise, I would suggest that you may have discovered his fatal flaw.

“Be very grateful to have discovered it before you got married rather than after.”
