Moisturisers help to keep the skin hydrated at all times, and this is especially important in the winter months when many people suffer from dry skin.

Whether you have oily skin, normal skin or even combination, there is a huge variety of suitable moisturisers on the market.

Olay

Olay have several moisturisers available to buy from Boots including both day creams and night creams.

This includes the Olay Niacinamide Day Moisturiser which helps to combat dryness, uneven texture, fine lines and dullness.

What’s more, it contains SPF 30 which can also help to reduce the signs of ageing. This product is currently half price on Boots’ website for £19, reduced from £38.

Olay also has a Vitamin C + AHA24 Day Gel Face Cream which helps to deliver brighter skin and more hydration within days.

Its ingredients can help to reduce dull skin and improve the look of uneven tone, which many people suffer from in winter.

Clinique

A more luxurious brand on the market, Clinique is known for its Moisture Surge moisturiser which is available in various sizes online.

The description reads: “An oil-free gel cream moisturiser with hyaluronic acid and aloe bio-ferment that sinks into skin for deep, lasting hydration.

“Advanced hydrator with Auto-Replenishing Technology that helps skin create its internal water source to continually rehydrate itself, then locks in moisture for a plump, healthy-looking glow.”

The moisturiser has an overall rating of 4.7 stars out of five, with more than 500 five-star reviews from customers, with prices starting from £20.

To help keep the skin extra hydrated during the winter months, Britons could benefit from using a rich night cream too.

Clinique has many to choose from including its Turnaround Overnight Revitalising Moisturiser which helps to rejuvenate the skin while you sleep.

CeraVe

CeraVe has become extremely popular in recent years, with the brand known for its simplicity in skincare ingredients.

The brand currently has a few moisturisers on the market including the AM Facial Moisturising Lotion with SPF 50, suitable for normal to dry skin.

It claims to keep the skin feeling soothed and hydrated for up to 24 hours while protecting the skin’s natural barrier.

There is also a matching night cream without the SPF to keep the skin moisturised throughout the night for as little as £8.

Eucerin

Eucerin, which is another affordable skincare brand, can help dry skin with its Dry Skin Relief Face Cream which is a light and gentle everyday moisturiser.

The description reads: “This face moisturiser hydrates dry skin, using two naturally occurring compounds Urea and Lactate, that help to lock in and bind natural moisture in the skin, helping to reduce the feeling of tightness.

Customers can also benefit from the brand’s lip balms as well as thick body moisturisers to combat dryness.
